Dr. Sobia Nasir Laique

Beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, khala, and daughter-in-law — physician, researcher, and mentor.

This site is for her family — and especially for her son, Adam — so he can grow up knowing his mother through the eyes of the many people who loved her.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

About

A life of purpose and love

Above all, Sobia was a mother — and a devoted wife, daughter, sister, khala, and daughter-in-law. She was also a respected transplant hepatologist who co-founded the Cleveland Clinic MASLD Task Force and dedicated her career to patients with complex liver disease. She dreamed of building a family, and gave her life to bring her son into the world.
